Problem
A client enterprise was experiencing severe operational friction managing their full chauffeur dispatch and operations workflow. They needed a software system to eliminate these headaches, but building it required maintaining strict confidentiality over the client's identity and proprietary business logic during open student development.
My Role
I acted as the end-to-end Product Manager. I led direct client requirement gathering, authored the technical PRD, designed interaction prototypes, organized an internal hackathon with 43 competing teams, and spearheaded the evaluation architecture.
What I Did
- Conducted discovery sessions with the client to analyze their daily operational pain points and map the complete operational workflow.
- Drafted a detailed Product Requirement Document (PRD) and created initial UI/UX wireframes with AI design tools to validate user journeys with both client and engineering stakeholders.
- Structured an internal 43-team hackathon, abstracting sensitive business logic so student engineers could build robust prototypes without exposing confidential client information.
- Authored a custom automation script to query the GitHub API, track open pull requests, and analyze code diffs across all 43 repositories.
- Reviewed and evaluated every team's submissions in a hybrid loop—using automated diff analysis to pinpoint critical areas, cutting manual PR review overhead while verifying code quality.
Tools
PRD Specification, UI/UX Wireframing, Python (GitHub PR Automation Script), GitHub API, Agile Evaluation Rubrics.
Outcome
- Evaluated 43 engineering teams down to 5 shortlisted finalist squads for client review and final cash prize allocation.
- Reduced manual PR evaluation headache by ~40% through targeted script-based diff inspection.
- Delivered an end-to-end validated product prototype and architectural foundation that solved the client's operational bottlenecks.
